This train trip is a party on its own, with two partycouches, a good dj line-up, breakfast, champaign.. . Check the film about last years trains. Interested? Mail info@ostfest.com for more info.

The Sziget Partytrain departs to Budapest 8 August from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Venlo. The train returns on 16 August and arrives in the Netherlands on the 17th. Inside the two bar wagons we have a party going on all the way. The party is hosted by Club Canvas from Amsterdam, the dj's and bands in the line-up will also perform on Sziget. We have a special package for the UK market which includes the train trip to Budapest and back, a couchette and full access to both party wagons. The package will be available at www.szigetfest.co.uk from this friday!

Another way to get to Hungary by train is by Interrail. Check here for more info about Interrail!

More than fifty trains a day provide direct links between Budapest and no fewer than 25 other capital cities. Trains to Vienna run every three hours. There is also a popular network of Inter City trains linking Budapest with the main Hungarian centres. International trains operate from the three largest stations:

  • Keleti pályaudvar: VIII., Baross tér. Tel: (+36-1) 413 - 4610.
  • Nyugati pályaudvar: VI., Nyugati tér Tel: (+36-1) 349-8503
  • Déli pályaudvar I. Krisztina krt. 37.  Tel: (+36-1) 375-6593

All three international railway stations are part of the Budapest Underground system, the Metró. The Déli and Keleti are stops on the Red (Number 2) line and the Nyugati is on the Blue (Number 3) line. Check the Hungarian national timeschedule for trainstransport here.
