Consular Assistance
Consular Assistance for EU, Norwegian and Swiss citizens at Sziget festival 2011

In 2011 there will once again be consular assistance at Sziget Festival. The E4U consular assistance team will be present at “cop land” and at the European Meeting Point at Civil Island from the 10th of August till 15th August.

Most EU Embassies and the Embassies of Norway and Switzerland and the delegation of the European Commission in Budapest have decided to create a joint service point at the festival in cooperation with the Hungarian ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Top tips for a safe festival…

ü Lock your stuff away – it isn’t safe in your tent

ü Make sure someone knows where you are

ü Drink some water, wear a hat and use some sun-cream…

ü Change money through official exchange offices or banks

ü Don’t get involved in any way with drugs

ü Carry this card, just in case

In case you need assistance from your Embassy, please come to one of our locations mentioned above. There you will find employees from one of the participating countries who will try to help you finding a solution for your troubles. You will recognize them wearing a blue E4U t-shirt or cap with the text: ‘Consular assistance’ written on it. Although they might not speak your own language, they will be able to help you with information and advice on what to do next.

Enjoy the Music (but be careful with your belongings)!
